I am a girl who is blind and deaf.
I wonder if I could ever see or hear.
I hear muffled noises.
I see never ending clearness.
I want to see and hear.
I am not happy.

I pretend I can see and hear.
I feel sad, but deep inside proud of everything I learned
I touch lots of stuff I don’t know the names of
I worry about bumping into something.
I cry when I’m not allowed to do things other people do.
I am uncomfortable.

I understand a few things.
I say words made on my hands.
I dream about being normal.
I try to understand.
I hope I will figure it out.
