I am a blind and deaf girl
I wonder what I am doing and where I am.
I hear nothing when people speak.
I see darkness around me where ever I look
I want things that I can’t get because I’m blind.
I am a girl who gets what I want.

I pretend that I can hear and see things but I can’t.
I feel Mrs. Sullivan writing things on my hand.
I touch my furry dog and try to teach it dog.
I worry that I’ll never get passed school.
I cry when I don’t get what I want.
I am a girl who has temper tantrums.

I understand I can’t always get what I want.
I say that I can’t learn what I supposed to, but I really can.
I dream to teach blind and deaf people.
I try my hardest to remember where to go at home.
I am now a teacher for blind and deaf people.
